How it Works

Buying on eBay can be a truly exciting experience. From finding the item you crave, competing against anonymous bidders from across the world, to (hopefully) the relief of winning at your desired price.

Selling, on the other hand, is a completely different process. True, it is thrilling to witness numerous competing bids on your item, and sometimes watching the bid price far exceed your expectation. The problem is, getting to that stage can be extremely time-consuming (sometimes up to 2 hours), particularly if you have more than one item to sell.

That's where CGC auctions come in. Whether you are an experienced eBay user, or a complete novice, We take all the hassle out of selling your stuff, by managing the whole process for you.

All you have to do is decide what you want to sell. You could be moving home, clearing out the garage, or simply (and discreetly) ridding yourself of last year's Christmas presents.

You might even generate more cash than you think.

As a registered eBay Trading Assistant our job is to take your stuff, prepare them for sale, handle buyer enquiries, deliver to the winners and send you a cheque. Sounds easy? It is.

This is what happens from your perspective;

  1. Your items are collected from your home, work or storage location, or you drop-off your stuff to our store.
  2. You receive a cheque through the door.

This is what CGC Auctions does for you behind the scenes;

  1. Evaluate your item(s)
  2. Test to make sure they work
  3. Check branded goods are genuine
  4. Research important details
  5. Write a professional listing
  6. Take quality photographs
  7. Place item in most appropriate eBay category
  8. Start the auction at the best time
  9. Send you an email with a link to your live auction
  10. Answer questions from bidders
  11. Send you an email when your item sells or is re-listed
  12. Collect payment from buyer
  13. Pack item carefully
  14. Ship item to the buyer
  15. Handle any returns
  16. Send you a cheque with a statement of item sales

As eBay professionals with a perfect 100% feedback score your items are likely to generate very good attention. And because your items are sold under our brand, your identity is protected through the entire eBay sales process.

The key points...

  • You never have to pay anything upfront
  • No Sale - No Fee
    If your item doesn't sell the first time from a 99p start price we will re-list it again completely free of charge. Either way, if your item doesn't sell, you don't pay a thing.
  • You get 70% of the final sale price
    Our standard fee is 30% of the final sale price (minimum fee £10). So, if the item sells for £30 or less, our fee is £10 or the final sale price, whichever is less.
  • We pay all eBay and PayPal fees from our fee
